Angus Wyatt exhibits three videos, two of which are unedited, all correlated to the difficulty of finding a position for oneself as a person, but moreover as an artist inside the system of art and cultural production. In this sense, the videos document a typology of artistic intention or behaviour. The first video documents a difficulty to transform the observations of a foreigner into an engaging work of art. Translation is the solution to this dilemma. The second video, featuring a soundtrack by Howard Hawk, documents the dream of the artist to maintain both his individuality and his need for self promotion. The work will be made in collaboration with Lorenzo Scotto Di Luzio. In addition, having made a previous video featuring the Venice Biennial, he wants to take this golden opportunity, to re-exhibit this work about the ridiculous but dramatic aspects of the art system.
